About Us - Mission
Established in 1989, Silicon Valley Chinese Engineers Association (SCEA) is a non-profit professional organization. SCEA mainly consists of professionals originated from China and currently located in the San Francisco bay area (Silicon Valley). SCEA's mission is to provide a professional and social network; promote communications, friendship and entrepreneurship among members, other communities, and mainstream American; to serve as a channel to enhance the connection and cooperation between the high-tech industries in China and Silicon Valley. This mission is accomplished through building a strong organization, organizing a variety of professional and social activities, and arranging the forums and meetings with government officials, and successful enterprises in China.
Today, SCEA has over 4,000 members, located in US, Europe and Asia. The majority is experienced engineers with above college degrees, but also has professionals in almost all other professions, including entrepreneurs, executives, management staff, lawyers, accountants, etc. SCEA has become the largest, the most prestigious and influential professional organization in the Silicon Valley as well as in US. She has established extensive collaborative relationships with various organizations both in US and in China.
